JOY. Sometimes in event planning the word “joy” disappears and stress takes its place. The principles planning the event get so tied up in the stresses of details that they forget the original purpose of the event. I have had friends tell me they forgot to eat!!! Imagine that? Hiring a caterer and having to go out to a fast food restaurant or order in take-out after a party!
This is why hiring a Professional Event Planner such as myself, Barbara Chinsky Cohen is the perfect solution to a memorable, seamless, stress-free event.
Years of experience. Attention to detail, Anticipating every occurrence are just a few of the skills I bring with me, along with a very large “Rolodex” (today in my cell phone) and a very beautiful and well used and maintained smile :). One I use often and generously.

When you buy flowers in the store they give you a little packet of flower food. If you do not have the food here are a few recipes you can use to keep your flower water clean and fresh. It is recommended you change the water and re cut the stems every other day. Also use warm water. The temperature of a baby’s bath is perfect.
The easiest recipe is: 1/4 teaspoon chlorine bleach, 1/4 teaspoon sugar per quart of water.

In any design work, the project starts with a vision. First the creator has to determine the parameters of what they want to create. The size, the color, the contents, the purpose. Sometimes the creator is working with materials they have and other times the materials will be procured. Most important for the designer is to have the belief and knowledge within themselves that EVERYTHING is possible within the parameters they set down. Also helpful is to have practiced daily and learned from all past experiences. The failures can contribute greatly here to…so include them as positive as you move forward and you will be amazed by what you can CREATE!

Wearing personal body flowers is a long tradition. Me, I LOVE making them. Others share they do not care to make boutonniere and corsages as they require patience and much manual dexterity and practice. I say, bring them on and I will sit for days working on them. I see them very much like Jewelry, to be pinned on in just the right place to add just the perfect touch.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year. I love making all the fall color centerpieces and working with the gourds and wheat and cinnamon sticks. Thank you for being in my circle and in that spirit I share this floral arrangement with you. Happy Thanksgiving!
